Have you ever suffered a loss in your family that you thought you couldn't live without? Sometimes it's the same feeling when you are about to lose a part of you family's house, like a light fixture.

Imagine this. You walk in the front door and turn on the switch to the light that has been in the family for years. Suddenly, the light makes a loud POP and one of the bulbs goes out. Fear fills your mind because this may be the end for this antique fixture. How can you ever replace her? What could ever take her place? Will you finally have to put her to rest?

Hold on a minute! Armed with you emergency electrical tool kit and a quick trip to the hardware store, you spring into action to save the old girl. Will she be able to be patched up to brighten another day?

With the awful thought that this may be the end, the electrical doctor shows up with his bag of tricks, patches the victim up, and saves the day. But, how did he do it?

We took one of our old lamps to a lighting store and asked them to rewire the whole thing. Cost a fortune, and I think we probably could have done it at home by ourselves for a lot less. The good news, lamp still looks GROOVY!
